Amy Hariegel was born in Staten Island, NY and was raised in a musical family. She started singing in church as a young child and began leading the mass at 9 years old. Once the congregation heard her sing, Amy was the requested vocalist for weddings and funerals. At that time, Amy began to enter “young musician” competitions in order to save some money for her future college years.
Amy began writing original music at the age of 12. She began voice lessons at 13 years old and is classically trained in opera through a Juilliard instructor.
Amy attended a Catholic Academy for High School which was known for its outstanding performing arts. Amy went to Wagner College on a Musical Theater and academic scholarship. She participated in several musical theater productions for school and was also involved in community theater for many years.
In 1999, Amy won the title of Miss Staten Island which is a Local beauty pageant of the Miss America Organization. She went on to participate in Miss New York. This opened many doors and Amy was given the opportunity to sing The National Anthem at numerous minor league baseball games and large not for profit fundraising events
In her early 20’s, Amy became the lead singer in a prestigious NY based wedding band. Once her first child was born, Amy took a break from singing in order to raise her son and redirected her focus. After a short break, Amy became a working model and could be seen in numerous magazines, billboards and on product packaging. She was also in television and internet commercials for Jewelry stores, Toys R Us and Scholastic Books. She returned to singing and has been the lead singer in numerous Jersey Shore Bands. Amy met Mike Dalton in 2018 at an event and has been singing with the band ever since.
